Purdie, David

David Purdie was born privately and educated publicly in Scotland. Following a distinguished career in medical academia, he now writes and lectures on literature and philosophy and is a Hon. Fellow of Edinburgh University's Institute for Advanced Study. He is the co-author of a humorous history of golf and is Editor-in-Chief of the Robert Burns Encyclopaedia. When not recording audiobooks, voiceovers, or his score on the golf course, he is a Parliamentary specch-writer and a seriously witty after-dinner speaker. He lives in Edinburgh.
