An Interview with Choc Lit's Search for a Star Winner 2019

Back in November 2018, Choc Lit launched their Search for a Star competition in a bid to find fresh new writing talent. Sponsored by Your Cat magazine, this writing competition had a feline twist! The entry could be any genre the aspiring writer wanted, but it had to feature a cat as part of the story in order to scoop the prize of a three book deal across digital, print and audio, from Soundings.

Fast-forward to April 2019 and Choc Lit had their winner and runner-up. Chris Penhall bagged the first prize with her debut novel The House That Alice Built and we're thrilled to introduce you to her in this exclusive interview.

The House That Alice Built is currently available to download from Audible and your local library, and will be published on CD and MP3 in 2020. Runner-up Lucy Keeling's Make It Up to You will also be available to download from 17th September, and will follow in physical formats next year.
