Currie, Jack

Jack Currie DFC served as a stretcher-bearer, and later as an ambulance driver, during the London Blitz before gaining his wings in the USA. Through his books describing his exploits in Lancaster bombers and as a Pathfinder Mosquito pilot, he became renowned as an aviation writer, and appeared in a number of TV and video productions. Margaret Mayhew’s novel The Crew is dedicated to Jack for his help and advice.
