Patricia Scanlan began her career as a novelist determined to write a best-seller. Whilst working as a librarian she began writing Mills & Boon-style novels. Her first novel, 'City Girls', went straight to the top of the Irish best-sellers list and her six subsequent novels have all reached number one. Patricia Scanlan now resides in Dublin.
