Elizabeth Lord was born in the East End of London but at the age of six she moved to Essex, where she has lived ever since. She worked as a legal secretary and began writing short stories in the ’70’s. After having had more than twenty stories published she turned to novel writing. She now writes full time in addition to chairing a Writers’ Circle in her hometown of Billericay. She has a son and two daughters.
