Alan Titchmarsh has been the main presenter on BBC’s Gardeners’ World since 1996. He has twice been named Gardening Writer of the year and in 1997 was voted Gardening Broadcaster of the Year by the Garden Writers’ Guild. He writes regularly in BBC Gardeners’ World magazine, as well as being gardening correspondent for the Daily Mail and Radio Times. He has also appeared on radio and television both as a gardening expert and as an interviewer and presenter, fronting such programmes as Points of View and Pebble Mill. He lives in Hampshire with his wife and family and gardens on a hillside of chalk, clay and flint.
