Brought up in Belfast and Leeds, Jack Higgins left school with no qualifications but was later accepted as an external student at London University. A degree in sociology and social psychology took him into teaching before he became a full-time author who has written over fifty novels, including 'The Eagle Has Landed', 'The Eagle Has Flown', 'On Dangerous Ground', 'Sheba', and 'Angel of Death'. His books have sold over 250 million copies and have been translated into fifty-five languages.
