Mollie Harris lived in Oxfordshire all her life. Spending most of the fifties working on a farm, she also wrote articles for the Oxford Times and Witney Gazette. During the sixties she started broadcasting in various programmes, among them In The Country, which included all her own writings, and The Countryside. She appeared in various radio plays, worked in a series of country cooking programmes for television and wrote many books about the countryside, cooking, country folk and wines.
