Brian Hewlett has worked as an actor since 1959, mainly in Theatre and Radio, but with a few forays into the fields of television and film as well. He is currently heard by millions of BBC listeners in The Archers, as he plays Neil Carter, a part he originated and has continued to play since 1973. Brian¹s experience on BBC Radio is extensive, incorporating performances in hundreds of plays and documentaries since 1964, amongst which was his portrayal of the infamous Widmerpool in the 26-episode adaptation of Anthony Powell¹s twelve-novel opus A Dance to the Music of Time, recorded over a period of four years.
