Reader A-Z > Stephen Briggs
Stephen Briggs, they say, knows more about Discworld than Terry Pratchett. He is Boswell to Terry’s Dr. Johnson. They collaborated to write the best selling 'Discworld Companion' and a host of other Discworld projects, including published dramatisations of Terry’s books. Amateur groups in over twenty countries have staged the plays and Stephen also directs them himself for a drama club based in Oxford. As a side-line he now sells an exclusive range of Discworld merchandise direct to Terry’s readers, an enterprise he stumbled into by accident. In 2004, Stephen's reading of Monstrous Regiment won the prestigious Audie Award, voted by the American Audio Publishers Association.

Pandaemonium - Christopher Brookmyre
The senior pupils of St Peter's High School are on retreat to a secluded outdoor activity centre, coming to terms with the murder of a fellow pupil through the means you would expect: counselling, contemplation and even prayer...not to mention booze, drugs and as much partying as they can get away with. Not so far away, the commanders of a top-secret military experiment fear they may have literally unleashed the forces of hell. Two very different worlds are on a collision course...the bookies are offering evens.
Nicholas Rhea is the creator of the Constable novels, on which the television series Heartbeart was based.
