Born in Edinburgh, Alistair Maydon has lived all his life in England. He trained as a drama teacher, taking a degree at London University, and taught for three years before turning to a full time acting career. He began his professional career with Coventry's Theatre-In-Education team, before playing a quack doctor in Wycherley's comedy 'The Country Wife' at the Belgarde Theatre. His other Theatre credits include: touring the West Country with the Orchard Theatre Co. with productions of 'The Taming of the Shrew' and 'Cyrano de Bergerac' and playing the pirate, Smee, in 'Peter Pan' at Theatre Clwyd. He has been seen in a number of London fringe productions. His television work includes programmes for both the BBC and Independent Television. Alistair's sound recordings cover a wide field, taking in educational tapes and work for BBC radio.
