Alexander John trained as a scientist, then became an actor in 1961 and has since worked extensively in theatre, films, television and radio, having twice been a member of the Radio Drama Company. His stage appearances in London range from Henry V to Daisy Pulls It Off, by way of Treasure Island and The Good Companions. He has also worked extensively in repertory, although he specialises as a narrator and radio performer. He has a grown-up family of four and lives in Hertfordshire.
