Graham Roberts was born and educated in Chester. He also attended Manchester and Bristol Universities and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, studying English, history and drama. He was an announcer and presenter on the ITV Network for thirty years, is regularly heard as George Barford in The Archers on Radio Four and has more than 150 radio plays, poetry and story reading programmes to his credit. On BBC TV he played PC Aitken in Z Cars as well as performing in many plays. He has played in the West End Theatre and with the Old Vic Company.
