Hayward Morse trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where he was awarded the Silver Medal. He has since worked in regional theatres in Britain, the USA and Canada. His appearances include roles in the musicals Canterbury Tales and The Rocky Horror Show. He was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance opposite Alan Bates in the Broadway production of Butley.
