Born in Wales and a graduate in Drama from Hull University, Gareth started his career in regional repertory theatres. He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and has appeared in London’s West End in plays by Stoppard, Agatha Christie and Noël Coward. He has directed Much Ado About Nothing and A Winter’s Tale for the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff, where he was an Artistic Director for three years. As an Associate Director of the American-based Shakespeare company, Acter, he has undertaken three tours of the USA. He broadcasts regularly for the BBC and plays a running character in the radio serial, The Archers.
