Pauline Neville spent her childhood within sight of the Galloway Hills, Scotland, an inspiration to any would be writer. From there she went to the notorious boarding school, St. Trinians, and then, via her English grandmother to be civilised at school in England. After school she worked in a Hatchards book shop, London, until a gallant commander of the Paras swept her into marriage and often dangerous travel. She had two sons and started writing. Her first book was published in 1969 and she has since written two memoirs and four novels. She is still writing.
