The Last Kings of Sark is the stunning debut novel from promising young writer Rosa Rankin-Gee who was the 2011 Paris Literary prize-winner.
Jude is 21 when she flies to the island of Sark to tutor rich local boy Pip for the summer. Pip is awkward and his mother is unsettling, but at least there's Sofi, the family's holiday cook. When Pip's father goes away on holiday, science lessons are discarded and summer really begins. Soon something surprising brings the three together, but those strange, golden weeks cannot last forever.
