Synopsis
Lieutenant Donald Cameron joined the destroyer Burnside, and one of the most important convoys of 1942. Liners crammed with soldiers, and a 21,000- ton tanker - the British Racer - loaded with highly inflammable aviation spirit together made up a massive, unwieldy convoy bound for the besieged island of Malta. From the bridge of the Burnside Cameron sees the devastation of the main ships of the convoy and that those remaining are being pushed on to the extensive minefield between Sicily and Tunisia. And when the British Racer is crippled after an air attack and detached from the convoy with ultimately only the Burnside for protection, Cameron's quick reactions and seamanship are severely tested.Latest Additions
