Synopsis
A Miss Silver Mystery
When Judy Elliott’s sister and her husband are killed in an air-raid in the Blitz, she is the only one able to look after their little girl Penny. Unfortunately jobs are hard to come by, especially when there is a child in tow, and she is forced to take the position of housemaid in a house in the country called Pilgrim’s Rest. When she is warned by an old friend that there is a curse on the house she laughs it off, but accidents keep happening – accidents that threaten the lives of all those who live there. Fortunately, Miss Silver is willing to investigate.
