Synopsis
When a mysterious metal canister is washed up on a Scottish beach it sets alarm bells ringing in Whitehall. As a result, secret agent Ray Challenor is told to pack his bags and take a trip to Murmansk; which in winter is not the cosiest of places to visit. And Challenor is none too keen on the job, either. Recently married, he would rather be with his wife than working for the good of his country in far-off parts of the world. So when the business in Murmansk leads to more business in Havana, Buenos Aires, and the Chaco of Argentina, serious thoughts of resigning come into Challenor's head. But then the question arises as to whether or not he will live long enough to hand in his resignation, or more importantly, to see his dear wife again.Latest Additions
