Crime & Mystery
Synopsis
At first, DCI Webb was merely irritated that a local murder should coincide with a visit by composer Felicity Harwood - it meant him missing her concert. But as the days passed, it began to seem that Miss Harwood herself might be in danger. What had caused her inexplicable collapse on stage? And who were the April Rainers, whose death threat, couched in flowery language, seemed to have been carried out?
Another murder, also foreshadowed by the April Rainers, provides clues which enable Webb and Sergeant Jackson to probe beneath the green ink and hyperbole and disclose the true identity of the killers.
