Synopsis
Karen Slocombe isn't sure why she visited the supermarket that day - as a committed member of the Food Chain Group and a regular stall-holder at local farmers' markets, SuperFare is a place she would normally avoid. Luckily for Karen, she leaves moments before a bomb explodes, destroying the front of the store.Only a few days later, Karen finds herself in the midst of another horrific crime. Peter Grafton, a fellow stall-holder, is murdered in front of her - shot through the neck with a crossbow bolt. When friends from the Food Chain Group start warning Karen not to tell the police certain details, her suspicions are instantly aroused. Could the two events be linked? Are Karen's friends involved? And why is everyone suddenly talking about genetically modified crops?
