Synopsis
Born at the end of the First World War and named after the day of the Armistice, Thursday grows up in a warm-hearted community in Portsmouth.When a new war breaks out she becomes a VAD nurse working in the naval hospital where she and her fellow nurses tend the wounded of Dunkirk – including the soldier who will change her life.
