Synopsis
There had never been a murder in Aidensfield - until the night of the party at Elsinby Hall. The party was to celebrate the Earl of Thackerston's sixtieth birthday, and the murder victim was one of the guests, Edwin Drood. PC. Rhea's duties had been to see to the car parking arrangements and to ensure that there were no gatecrashers, but he soon finds himself involved in the murder investigation.
