Synopsis
Constable Nick of Aidensfeld feels the tug of pastures new, but his wife has a new job and doesn’t want to move. While he faces this dilemma he continues with his constabulary duties. There is no lack of drama: a 14-year old girl goes missing, young Craig plays truant from school and a man disappears in the river. Old Zachariah Isaac Pentecost (Zip) is taken ill and Constable Nick discovers that Zip has a son – but where is he now; and Claude Jeremiah Greengrass causes problems with his illegal egg round, lost house keys and appalling bus driving. Not to mention the Pyrenean Mountain dog that has decided to settle in a chair.It’s all part of Nick’s daily routine.
